so a big thank you to all involved….i also got a chance to talk to some really friendly fans that night both inside and outside the metro, and appreciated all the warmth and support…i don’t go out much anymore, but when i do, i am treated very well and i appreciate that…it is a nice offset against the backdrop of what is going on in the world right now…it seems a fairly unpoular thing to do these days to celebrity “politic”, if you will, so i won’t for a variety of reasons (fear not being one of them)…what i will say is it really hard to watch innocents beheaded, the media destroy our country for profit, live in a constant state of anxiety and, oh by the way, be kind to each other…so it is within that context that i truly do appreciate YOUR kindness…
my poetry book, “blinking with fists”, appears to finally be out as i see some people have gotten their pre-orders in the mail…i feel very blessed to be with such a great publisher as FSG, and look forward to working with them not only on this book but on the one’s i am writing somewhere, out there…
i am happy to also report that my album is finished, and we are now in the mixing stage for the next 3 weeks…as of right now we are set to release in the spring…spring seems a long way away sitting here now, but time flies when you are me so it shouldn’t be that long…i am very excited about the album as i feel i have created something relatively fresh and vibrant and exciting to my ears…i know that i like it, and that makes me smile…one mix down, about 14 or 15 to go!!! and then i am FRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEE….(free to roam, free to be free like you and me, to do what i wanna do blah blahsky)…
