NEW Smashing Pumpkinsの為に、エンジニアのKerry Brownとともに早くもスタジオ入りしたビリー・コーガン。オフィシャルサイトの記事によると「すごく順調に進んでいて、自分自身もすごくハッピーだし最高だよ。いろいろあったけど僕は悲しいなんて思ってないし、NEW SPとして活動できる事に興奮してる」とのこと。さらに今現在合計5曲のデモが出来上がっていて、それらは「春っぽい感じの曲だよ」だとのこと。正式なレコーディングは5月からになる予定だそうです。
また、今回のデモ制作には伝説的なサイケバンドThe Electric Prunesのベーシスト、Mark Tulin氏も参加しているそうで、彼のサウンドが新作にどんな影響を与えるか楽しみです。

Billy in studio creating 5 new demos

As reported earlier, Billy Corgan has been in close proximity to audio engineer Kerry Brown. The reason being that Billy is working alongside Kerry to create some new demos!
In regards to the demos, Billy has said “It’s going well and I’m very happy and in a great mood. I’m not sad (about what has happened), actually excited to be working on new SP!”
In addition, Billy hints that “The songs sound like Spring!”
There are FIVE demos in total that he is currently working on and he anticipates the official recording process to begin sometime in May.

As recently reported, Billy is working on some new demos for The Smashing Pumpkins but he is not alone in the studio.
Billy updated SmashingPumpkins.com with information regarding who is joining him during his current sessions. This time it is a friend, Mark Tulin, bassist for the legendary psychedelic band The Electric Prunes. See their official website at electricprunes.net.
This collaboration is bound to have an effect on the style of the current demoing process. Check out some of The Electric Prunes videos, including their most well-known hit, “I Had Too Much to Dream Last Night below.
