it’s crazy that it works out this way, but that is what the songs require, so much love and devotion…it humbles me every time…we are hustling to finish because i have to be in san francisci on Oct 12 for the live Q and A that we are doing at the Herbst Theatre…then we are flying to new york and working our way back across the country…we are putting up all the information on this site so you can see where we will be having the book signings, because it will be a relaxed and accessible way to say hello and catch up…also, i am doing a few shows (where we would be anyway for the book signings)…so for those of you in washington dc, toronto, cleveland, denver, and seattle, the tickets are now on sale and those links should be up as well…i say show because although not a proper “concert”, there will be music as well as some poems from the book and also a performance from my good friend yungchen lhamo, whose music you can find on peter gabriel’s Real world label…you can learn about yungchen by clicking yungchenlhamo.com yungchen has one of the most beautiful voices in the world, it is something you have to witness for yourself…we hope to put on a beautiful and unique one of a kind performance for you that will be peaceful ans inspiring…i was looking over the list of songs today that i would like to play, and i am going to do some of the Chicago songs because they come from and were written around the same time as the poems in “blinking with fists”…so, if you can, i hope you can also find the time to come to the shows, because i think they will be intimate and fun…so, only 8 songs to go mixing, and i am DONE!!! also, for those of you who have been listening to the cubs reports on 93 WXRT here in chicago, thanks for an exciting year of being part of the liberal and biased media…our hearts are broken yet again by the season just finished, but we are already talking about next year…GO CUBS!!!!!! god bless, bc
